Possibly. I'd like to know a little more. It may be that Kodak are, indeed, screwing over their customers. Or it may simply be a disgruntled and obsessive (ex-)employee who disagreed with something as simple as the level of JPEG compression Kodak chose to apply - a pixel peeper who objected to any lossy steps, even if these would never show up in a print.
