The AF1.7X is a teleconverter that will allow a roughly focused manual focus lens to focus automatically. It degrades the picture at best(worst?) negligibly, is faster at focusing than any ordinary lens I've tried and will be pried from my cold, dead fingers. It ranks up with the LX's exposure system and the MX's screen as one of the best things Pentax ever made.

I just bought the Pentax AF 35-70 for my MEF. It really feels complete now!

I'm not sure, though, what you mean by "Autofocus with manual lenses". The AF 35-70 is a manual lens (no A position), and it autofocuses... Is that what you mean?
