Now you're making me feel old. I had only been driving for about a year
when they hit 50c litre. I remember thinking I would have to slow down
a little. I didn't, not until all the points disappeared off my licence.
Petrol is hitting AU$1.40 litre in Melbourne over the past couple of
days (AU$1.449 in some places but I haven't seen in myself).
Leon, what I was visiting Melbourne back in 2000 I was surprised to
learn that gas prices depended on the day of the week. The figures
you're giving are average, max, or min? Or this thing does not exist any
longer?
