By paying taxes you are supporting your country! <BIG> (big ironic grin)
Don't worry - that's the way the customs work in many countries AFAIK. So
far I belived this is normal for former USSR coutries, now it seems that
this happens else too. I _do_not_ recommend you to try it, but here
situation like this can be easily solved by passing some picture of the USA
president from one hands to others. Hopefully you'll get your LX without
paying that tax or smth, but I hardly believe in it :(
