Back when I was a young man, I imagined that I could be a good golfer, if I worked on it. Problem is, I couldn't manage to get out on the course much more than once a month, which in Canadian climate translates to about 4 or 5 times a year (usually less). My friends who were golfers got tried to get out 2 or 3 times ~a week~. I had neither the time nor the money for that.
