I use my Pz-1p's almost exclusively as manual focusing bodies. The finder
is very accurate for MF work, focusing off the plain ground glass finder
works better than it does with the LX or ME Super (fortunately, the latter
have the split screen focus aid.)
As an MF camera, it is excellent. It's not bad as an AF body either.

Me Too! I've used a PZ-1 with manual focus lenses. When I can get by with
it, I turn the audio 'in focus' signal on and never even look at the AF
light. ...Works great!
The ground glass of the focusing screen isn't too bad either!
