Oh - my reasoning is strictly financial survival motivated ;^)
as it is, all but* my 400mm f5.6 are m42 primes - so, even though
there are many useful features & functions using the PZ1-p as a
manual focus (I *really* liked the focus confirmation buzzer :)
body and I would actually even have many of these w/ my m42's, so
still would I be constrained to shooting "at aperture". I suspect
that you already have many K and KA lenses which really would make
a great Manual Focus outfit. As it is, my SuperProgram/SuperTakumar
combos are performing exceptionally well considering the relatively
small costs of all those used bodies (7) & lenses (13 focal lengths
and a SMCK 45-125mm f4 zoom)
* ... Oh, have an A50mm f2 somewhere, too
..... I am also *certain* that I would be on another lens-buying
binge in no time - probably starting w/ the A15mm f3.5, FA* 85mm
f1.4, one of those good 100mm macros and the good 24mm one. Finding
one of those 400mm f2.8's like yours would certainly be a dilemma!!
