It's both. The softwood settlement has driven the Canadian dollar up, while the US dollar has been weak for a while.

Don't be making fun.

Our dollar's strong and yours has been weakish - we're up over 90
cents on your dollar (up from a low of about 60 cents on the dollar
just a few years ago).  Experts (what, economists are experts?  har!)
say that within a year, our dollar may overtake yours.

We'll see who's talking about dollarettes this time next year!  <g>
