hi ya pug-sters: w/my mx going down on the calif-yosemite trip, i'm longing for a 2nd body. i leave in three days for a two week stay on the rhode island coast and wanted to bring the pentax gear. i wish i could just "buy" a pz-1p. i don't have that type of cash. i almost managed to purchase that camera from someone on this list for a very fair price but i was 2nd. the zx-5n is interesting but it brings up the whole issue of AF and if i go in that direct, i'd perfer the pz-1p. someone mentioned a program plus. it has smiliar attributes of my cherished mx. i've always liked the way the me super felt but the lack of dof puts that body in doubt. the kx would suit my needs but are rather scarce at the moment. and then i started thinking about the zx-m. catch a break on eBay and u can purchase one for less than $100. i've read the reviews in the camera mags (pop said nice things, the brit mags love it). it has dof, tv, av, m, 2fps. sure it needs batteries unlike the mx and it doesn't have a metal lens mount but for less than $100 is there any reason NOT to buy a zx-m as a manual camera to be used w/my M50/2 and A35-105/3.5? as always, any and all thoughts are much appreciated. be well. robo - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
