A job I'm going after will require some photography where I will be a considerable distance from the camera.
Timing is critical, so in my head I'm eliminating the IR remote. However, if someone has experience with it and wants to share any good or bad experiences with range and delay, I'd love to hear about it. Ideally, I'd like to do this with a foot pedal. Between that and the length of the cord I'll need, I suspect I'll have to build it or get someone to build it for me. Probably the latter -- I can't even build a fire. Can anyone give me ideas or links to info about building an electronic release for a modern Pentax body?
