Exceed in some cases. 1DmkII is 8.5fps for 40+ shots, D2Hs is 8fps for a 
similar amount, the D2X/D2Xs do 8fps in 2x crop mode for around 35 
RAW's. There are 10+fps film bodies, but nothing recent (last one was 
the EOS 1 RS IIRC)

Cheaper typically. Sigma 10-20 is about $200CDN cheaper than their 15-30 
for full-frame and about equivalent optically. What digital lacks is a 
cheap and acceptable 18-35 or 19-35 equivalent, like the Tamron 19-35 or 
FA J 18-35, which are quite decent lenses for their low cost.
