The Pentax 18-55 is a fine choice for getting started.  The 50-200 is also
good if more reach is desired.  The 18-55 is inexpensive, even new,
especially when purchased with the DL as a kit.  I don't know about the
price of the 50-200, however, a few people on the list think it's a very
good lens.
