Yes. It works very well handheld. I also carry it and 4 or 5
lenses on hikes of several miles at a time. The mirror bounce of
the 6x7, while definitely there, is a somewhat overblown issue.
If you are using a prism finder, it is quite possible to use MLU
while handholding the camera if this is a concern. What works
for the camera is the weight.
