I agree with Ed. A few dozen messages wasted on the third
and last hand-finish applied to a new flagship camera is
designed to appeal to the kind of folks I don't like to
hang out with. This is "snob appeal", IMHO. But perhaps
such threads are inevitable. Scratch a camera buff and you
find a "gadget freak". I'm fighting this tendency in myself
and I hope I'm winning. Otherwise the camera bag is gonna require
a fork lift to put in my car in another few years.
