I believe it's
        Alkaline (1.5V)
        Lithium Ion (1.45)
        NiMH (1.35)
        NiCd (1.15-1.2V)

I believe, NiMH has a curve very similar to NiCd, with a slightly
slower dropoff at the end (shallower slope from peak to "zero"). Not
sure about Li Ion.

In electric R/C cars, a dead shorted electrical system can draw over
100A from a 1200 mAh 9.6VDC NiCd battery pack ... for _very_ short
periods of time.  The pack smokes within seconds.  And I mean smokes
... outgasses all sorts of nasty smelling stuff that probably isn't
very good for you.
