If Andy Wharhol were still alive, Pentax could have given him a  clear
camera body to add his art to.  He could have painted, say, five designs.
Pentax could have given them a serial number and produced them in limited
numbers so that over time they would become a collector item.
I think only Leica produces limited editions on their SLR series that
command high prices today.
