I don't think the laws in regard to the depiction of nude children have anything to do with the kind of moral judgement you describe. They're the result of widespread sexual assaults on children. The sexual predators who perform these heinious crimes always seem to have a large collection of child pornography. The laws banning such material provide at least some means of getting the creeps off the street.
