Warning: Office friendly but probably cliche!
Note: Not a Pentax shot; only had my Nikon CP4500 (alas).

The dry season (the equivalent of winter in more temperate 
regions) has really set in here. Hardly a hint of rain and the 
temperature plunging to 16 Celsius (61 F). 8-)

It's also the time when the landscape (or large bits of it) 
burns. The result is smoky skies and fiery sunrises and sunsets. 
(Wish I had my *istDL with me but I didn't.)
