REPly: I disagree. It uses more fuel than a European luxury sedan and significantly more than a european hatch. My seven year old Audi A6, which is a big car by European standards (anyway much bigger than a Prius), uses 0,43l per 10km - better mileage than a Prius. The fact that it is larger than a Prius, weight more than a Prius, is luxurious with interior plastics seemed to be carved out of massive granite - not recycled Airfix models, makes the technology gone into it far more impressive than whatever Toyota is using.
