Sad, but true.
My son quit school and got a job driving an ice cream truck, for money he 
couldn't have made for another 5 or 6 *YEARS* following his chosen line of 
education and work.

Guess what? He loves it and is absolutely certain he made the right choice.
On the side, he services pools, in Phoenix. Hot job, but plenty of work, and 
I've no doubt he will be making 3 times his previous projected earnings, in 
LESS than 5 years!

After all, what is it a young bread winner wants? To make enough bucks to 
support a family and have a nice home and car.
This way he can do it. The other way, who KNOWs when he could have done it?

College and $100,000 debt is not for everyone... <g>
