Upgraded AF seems to be in the eye of the beholder. The *ist-D/Ds/etc.
was supposed to have an upgraded AF system but to hear others talk about
it the PZ-1p and MZ-S had faster AF lock in spite of having fewer
sensors. I haven't got either of those cameras to compare mine to, but
I'm often surprised by what the AF system thinks is the most important
thing in a scene when it's set on automatic.
