One of the local papers, the Detroit News, is running a Photo contest & are judging images weekly. With the weekly winners being eligible for the grand prize. The contest is running from mid June thru mid August. There are several categories & I've been entering some images in the Landscape/Nature category. I've gotten several weekly honorable mentions & last Wednesday finally had an image named as a weekly winner in the Landscape/Nature category for the past week. I was pleasantly surprised at the award for the weekly winner, along with some local merchants merchandise coupons, Tickets to the Buick Open golf tournament, I've won a Panasonic D M C TZ1 camera - a 5 mp P + S with a Leica lens & image stabilization. Anybody know of it & able to comment on it? Oh yeah - Comments on the image are solicited & welcomed.
