Rest easy Ann. The St. Claire Hotel (now a Best Western Inn) is alive and well on Chicago's Ohio Street. Shot it this morning on my way to breakfast. No room to shoot on the narrow street, so I used the DA 12-24/4 at 12mm focal length, f11 @1/180th, ISO200. Did some perspective correction in PhotoShop.
