Last night Marnie and I met in Berkeley and drove out to the Zocalo Coffee
House to see Godfrey's exhibit and to enjoy the wonderful pastries he put
out (mmmm - you should have stopped by - the pastries were great and the
photos were interesting and sometimes thought provoking). Godders is a
good host. We all had an enjoyable evening, shmoozing, taking silly snaps
of one another, talking photography, and getting a tour of Godfrey's new
Prius, which is a very nice little car.

I was fooling around with the istDS and the A50/1.4, shooting @ 3200 ISO.
Once again I was surprised at the low noise generated by the DS at this
high speed. I was just taking some fun snaps, and Felipe, Godders'
partner, kept sticking his face into the photo and acting silly, just like
you sometimes see passers-by doing in the background on the local news
casts. Anyway, I liked this little snap, so here it is for you to ignore,
criticize, compliment, or kvetch about.

BTW, there was no sharpening done on this image except for some light local
sharpening on the coffee mug. I'd say that the A50/1.4 is a pretty decent
lens.

istDS, A50/1.4 @ F/2.8, ISO 3200, 1/40 sec
