No apology needed. I should have written my post more clearly. I was sorry the young man scraped his elbows and shins, and sorry his bike was demolished, but just pleased as punch that he didn't hit my arm or some other part of me. I didn't have time to wait to see how he and the cabbie resolved it, but both were using some choice words. There appeared to be no damage to the tank - er - London cab.
