Kerbside, or curbside as we Yanks would say. I wouldn't get out on the other side unless I was forced to for some reason. I don't like dodging cars in London. Habits are hard to break, so after almost getting hit on my first trip to England years ago, I started making a habit of looking both ways before crossing a street, since my natural habit from the USA is to look the wrong way.
