A reasonable amount of people seem to agree with this, but apparently 
Cosina is the only company these days that think they can turn this 
feeling into camera sales... Oh, and Leica, I guess, but as others have 
pointed out, it may look like they have given up surviving on users 
alone, and try to appeal just as much to collectors. I'm wondering if 
the M8 will be the digital camera I've been missing, though, i.e. one 
whose designers didn't think they had to include all sorts of 
unnecessary automation and zillions of customisations and menu 
selections just because it's digital. But it probably will be too 
expensive anyway...

There are of course a couple of other companies that still market 
all-mechanical bodies, but it seems like they are all manufactured (and 
partly designed) by Cosina. Or does anyone know an exception?

Pentax should re-introduce the MX...
