I'd have thought that if you were planning a trip without a laptop, a device such as this (with no review screen) would be less attractive. If I were to consider spending a few hundred dollars on more portable storage I'd consider the Epson Image Tanks others here seem to like, or the Archos AV 500 I saw the other day with a very nice-looking 4" screen (not to mention it's big brother, the AV 700).
