My 28-105 PZ is my walkabout lens! It is very sharp, focuses quickly, and
handles flare well. It's built like all the other lenses of it's era, it
ain't pretty, using a plastic (polycarbonate?) outer barrel, but the insides
are made of metal - how do I know? Because it got knocked off a bench in
Hong Kong, with the camera attached, landed on it's nose and bent the filter
ring and an internal barrel so that it became very stiff to zoom. A quick
and not expensive repair, and it's as good as new again. Highly recommended
by most, I think, as probably the better of the three 28-105's that Pentax
have made.
