Maybe if Pentax released enough details about the camera - to the public - before it goes on sale to the public, they would generate demand. Why should it be a hush hush secret? That would be a ridiculous approach. What would be lost? It's not some stealth corporate hi-tech espionage affair.
How can you, a private individual and customer, "get in trouble" from a corporation that holds no authority over you? If Pentax Japan did not want anybody to know then they should not have told anybody. What is gained by telling dealers who are forbidden to tell the customer? The whole thing is preposterous.
