I'm sure you can imagine how a rep who has a dealer that is pissing
him/her off can favor that dealer's competitors with product
shipments, allocations, etc. Don't be naïve.
I'm sure it can happen but it's stupid, and in a sense spiting oneself to
punish another.

So you're saying that the PDML is generally speaking an unproductive
use of time.
Sure. Generally speaking it is unproductive. But it doesn't mean it's not
a fun diversion, a good way to learn, or a useful resource when a specific
piece of information is requested.
