"high speed" and "broadband" are used pretty much interchangeably
to indicate some form of internet connection faster than dial-up.
DSL and cable are the two most common technologies for delivering
a broadband connection; DSL comes over your phone lines (although
it does not use the phone circuit to operate), while cable comes
over a cable TV wire.
