I use RAW&JPEG very infrequently with the KM A2. Can't avoid it with the Sony R1, but I set the JPEGs to minimum size. It's of marginal value to me most of the time, but there are times when having the JPEGs available immediately out of the camera are all I need for a quick turnaround, and it saves effort.
Most of the time, I prefer to generate the JPEGs from the RAW files, but this is inconvenient in the field with the laptop due to speed considerations.
