Paul, I agree with you 110% The camera hasn't even been seen at the show in its final form, much less shipped, yet the nay-sayers are starting to appear. Hey, complain if you've got something to complain about - I'm with you 100%. But to complain before the fact seems like just another form of mental masturbation, like the speculation on the configuration of the yet unannounced, most likely mythical, K1000D, or the postulating on the configuration of the K200D.
Sheesh, for now take some pleasure and pride in what Pentax is trying to do here, that the camera is ore a leader than anything Pentax has produced in a long time, accept that the company may never really compete with Canon in terms of numbers, enjoy the concept of forwards and backwards lens compatibility, check out the camera when it arrives in your area, and decide if it's worthwhile for you. I love Greywolf's comment that Pentax seems to be improving, but that it's not much at all. To me, that they seem to be improving is quite a lot - improvement is always good. Too bad a little at a time isn't good enough for Mr. Greywolf. Thank god Herb Chong has left the list ... we'd be swamped in negativism.
