I, of course, don't wish to belabor the point. ;-) We, at least I, was not really talking about 10MP P&S cameras, but DSLR's.
So far noise has not been a serious problem with any of Canon's DLSR's as far as I know. I suspect it will not be with Pentax either. If it is, the increase in MP resolution would be relatively meaningless.
