I've been looking at this one more time. They way it is written strongly indicate that it's not a typo. It goes something like this: We know that the final version of the camera will make 16 bit raw files.
So it looks like either misinformation, a marketing hype (deliberate misinformation, or conflicting information. My point is; the sentence strongly suggests that they have a source for this information. Apparently they're claiming that all extant Pentax promotional literature says 12-bit because the decision to change the firmware for 16-bit was made *very* recently (Sept 11). I'm skeptical, but we'll find out before too long I suppose. -- Mark Roberts Photography & Multimedia www.robertstech.com 412-687-2835 -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
