I got to try one out a couple of weeks ago. Since I tried it on an ME Super I got a
good idea of how
it felt in manual focus. Excellent, about like an M series lens. I did not pay
particular attention
to the movement of the focus ring, that means it didn't bring itself to my attention
so it must be
ok. Does the front rotate? Mostly that only happens with zooms, certainly not with the
77. I shot it
at 1.8 and it worked well, no sign of flare, so it ought to work ok for stage
photography. It has a
built in retractable lens hood.

Oh yes, I warned the owner, a well known list member, not to leave it unattended where
I could get
at it, as I can't afford to buy one. It matches the chrome ME Super very nicely, thank
you.
