Sorry - I got the subject line wrong (forgot my glasses).
But neverthe less - a K1000D would be interesting too.

There's a world of difference.
The K1000 was a very basic camera. It had what is necassary - nothing more.
An excellent beginner/student camera. Basic and reliable.
Not even a DOF preview stop down (Well, I know it did - but
unintentionally).
The K10D is loaded with extraordenary features. Two new exposure modes, (or
is it three), anti dust fuction, shake reduktion and much more.
Not exactly basic.
The only thing they have in common - except for the name - is the quite
moderate price tag. It will probably get the owners a profit for the next
three years.
The K1000 was in production for decades. This could never happen again.
Things change too fast these days.

It would BTW, be very nice to see a basic DSLR without whistles and bells.
Just an excellent VF, LCD, CCD, meter and buffer. A camera anybody could
use. A P&S DSLR. At a price tag of - let's say - 250-300 USD. Now, that
would be a real "K1000D".
