> A Dimage A2, clear? LOL Ken you're funny today ;) If you read my posts carefully; 1. I am not impressed by the current generation of EVF. I even said that it cannot replace the optical viewfinder. I know all these :-). 2. I was consistently talking about "what if" scenario in response to Godfrey's remark "Nice how the lack of a reflex mirrorbox thins out the M8". It was in that context, I reminded myself of predictions by some industry experts that the properly implemented EVF (i.e., high resolution and fast refresh rate etc) will change the whole concept of the current DSLR body/lens design. I just wanted to be open minded. 3. I said the EVF of the K/M A2 (or whatever it was) changed my perception of EVF mainly because of higher resolution (but still slow refreshing rate), so it was just a comparative comment. I do believe that somebody somewhere should be developing a "superior" EVF. Perhaps some of those non-traditional camera makers? :-). TTL viewfinder is the only thing which is dictating the current design and the form factor of SLRs, and I believe someone will break this mould in order to get ahead of competitions. For example, one of the powerful camera makers have notorious viewfinder, designed mainly for the AF (on their entry to mid level), but well designed EVF in the future will enable MF on these cameras :-). So much on this. Ken -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
