It's not shutter, it's a mirror and bouncing when released (so vibrations it does not affect shutter) and picture quality, but I agree Nikon creates "click, click" sound and does not bounce against the eye like russian AK, and Pentax_ with "bang, bang" sound. I expected K10D be at least quieter, now I know I better get used to this for years to come...
