It depends. Some pros just takes less pictures, because they known what they want. I know a few, both pro and amateur, who use large format cameras. The photography takes so much time that much of the selection is done before they expose the film. For me MedF has almost the same effect. I take much less photographs using it, but the percentage of pictures that I am pleased with is much larger. So the price per good picture is not very high.
But, of course, if you don´t like the darkroom I can understand you. Sometimes I just like to close the door, put on some music that nobody else likes, have some golden smoke in a glass and make pictures all night.
