I find this to be true of all the current series Pentax snap-on lens  
caps. It's irritating. I go to the local camera shop and buy their  
cheap, generic snap-on lens caps (store brand) to replace all the  
Pentax caps. They work better and do not risk touching the front  
element.

The only "good" caps Pentax is shipping at present are the slip on  
caps provided with the Limited lenses, and they'll only be good if  
they're not used much as the felt that retains them on the lens will  
eventually wear, loosen, and the caps will fall off....
