Thanks, Micah, for your response.

You see, my camera is 2 years old and it was brought to me by a friend 
from US. Most probably the cost of repair in Israel will be prohibited 
because of the lack of Pentax presence here.

Well, if this indeed affects only the built-in flash, I can definitely 
live without it.

This is rather strange though, because my camera was bought at least a 
year after it was introduced, which possibly means that it is not of the 
earlier assemblies...

Anyway, at least I can rest assured that nothing else is damaged.
