I've been using Sandisk Ultra II (60x rated) and Transcend 150x SD
cards interchangeably in the DS for several months. The Transcend are
marginally faster in the DS body. I expect the K10D body to more
fully exploit the faster cards. In three-four years of using
Transcend, PQI, Sandisk, and ATP SD cards, something on the order of
100,000 exposures, I have not yet had a single card failure.

The Transcend 150x 2G cards are $37 apiece right now. Personally, I
think you paid too much for the Lexar brand name.

I use the Epson P2000 for my travel backup. It has dedicated CF and
SD slots, and handles the 2G SD cards without any issues.

The DS is ready to shoot in less than a second with the Transcend
150x 2G card installed. I can't imagine how the K10D would be slower
than that.
