Actually I meant to say the US price (plus shipping, duty and VAT) was 10%  
LESS than the expected UK price.  I was told that the expected price was  
between £700 and £750.  I'm using rough figures, but 10% isn't far out.

Given that the release date appears to be roughly the same in both  
countries, and bearing in mind that the initial production run of a new  
camera is more likely to throw up faults, and that EU consumer law is  
better than US, I felt that the approx 10% difference was a price worth  
paying.

For those interested, I placed the order with Park Cameras.
