There seem to be various levels of restrictiveness you might
reasonably consider:

1. Most general: any equipment at all: Canon, Nikon, whatever.

2. Next: any M42 or K-mount equipment (i.e. Pentax-compatible, thus
including 6x7, 645, and Auto 110 compatible equipment. Have I missed
anything?

3. Next: body *or* lens must be Pentax branded

4. Next: Body must be Pentax; or, alternatively, lens must be Pentax

5. Last and most restrictive: body *and* lens must be Pentax.

WRT #3-5, what do we do about lenses made by Pentax but branded as
Cosmicar? What about lenses branded as Pentax but made by Tamron?

I plump for #2: both body and lens must be Pentax-brand *or*
Pentax-compatible.

Reasoning: the purpose of the gallery is to show what people are
doing with Pentax equipment. An LX with a Vivitar macro demonstrates
Pentax equipment usage, but also an alternative in lenses; a Ricoh
body with a 77mm Limited lens demonstrates Pentax equipment usage,
but also an alternative in bodies. How can we then reject the same
Ricoh body with the same Vivitar lens? Both demonstrate alternatives
for Pentax users.

This business of showing off the results of other-brand lenses is
especially important, I think, in view of the Pentax system's
backward compatibility. There are a devil of a lot of older lenses
that are still usable, and seeing how well they work is more than a
little valuable.
