Congratulations, Juan, on the resurrection of your MX! Good to prevent
another fine little film camera from biting the dust... And Eric is a great
resource with modest pricing; he just restored a battered LX for me, then a
double job on a K2 and an SV

I too have an MX that came from eBay, described as "seems to work ok but I
don't have a battery so I don't know about the meter." Sometimes these deals
work out well, but not this time (though it was cheap and had a good 1.7/50
SMCP). The camera had evidently gotten a flood of water from above that
pooled in the baseplate and corroded that and the lens mount, and killed the
electronics. I got it fixed locally, with contributions from a parts-donor
MX so it's fine now. And a nifty little camera to use. Hope you'll enjoy
yours as much and get long service.
