I was going to offer the same software Paul mentioned. I used to use it at work for doing image recovieries for customers before we got some more advanced software (which works with hard drives and other media besides flash memory). It's good stuff, and it certainly wouldn't hurt to try it. Just be glad none of us Pentax users have to use Smart Media or XD memory cards. In my experience with those formats, if you've got a problem with a bad card or inacessible files, you may as well chuck the card and buy a new one. I don't understand why, but when SM and XD cards fail, they fail completely and utterly. At least files on CF and SD cards can usually be recovered, even if the card isn't usable afterwards.
