Regardless of what many might fear, the PUG will always be filled with
mostly Pentax made photos from mostly Pentax using people, because
people by and large, subscribe to this list because they own and use
Pentax and want to discuss some aspect of it. If I did not own it, I
would not waste my time here just to submit to the PUG with some other
brand - I'd join another list of whatever I did own and post there
because every list has their own version of the PUG. You don't need
rules to ban non-Pentax equipment for fear the Nikon or Canon guys will
eventually invade and overtake the PUG. I know this is a somewhat
extreme exaggeration, but the whole discussion sounds a little like
insecurity and paranoia to me. Who cares if a Pentax user just happens
to shoot a great shot every once in a while with another brand? Does
that mean it can't be educational or inspirational to someone who only
owns Pentax? Learn about Pentax equipment from PDML, and learn about
photography from the images in the PUG. They can be separate tools
without fear and pride getting in the way.
Thanks,
Ed
