Ha, I can understand your frustration. Even here in the US you get these "Pick Up Only" items, ebay ought not to allow them <grin>.
High shipping rates, although small items can be sent anywhere in the world in a Global Express Envelope for as littl as $5; lack of knowledge about customs; payment problems; very damn expensive to take care of problems. Still if you do your homework first and explain everything, especially your understanding that you are going to have to pay far more than the bid price*, many folks will work with you. BTW, one of the reasons cameras and accessories are cheaper here in the US is because we have no import duties on them. Once you have to pay those the prices may not be such a bargain anymore. *Why that would be a problem as I see many people bidding more than you can by the same item for new locally. But I guess many folks just naturally think ebay and bargain are synonyms. -- graywolf http://www.graywolfphoto.com http://webpages.charter.net/graywolf "Idiot Proof" <==> "Expert Proof" ----------------------------------- J and K Messervy wrote: > Is there something about the postal system in the US that makes it > particularly difficult to post things overseas?
